Greetings! I am Sagar Sapkota, a passionate electronics enthusiast and entrepreneur originally from the beautiful landscapes of Nepal. My journey has taken me across continents, from the vibrant culture of Nepal to the serene cities of Turku and Helsinki in Finland, where I pursued and successfully completed my Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering with a focus on electronics productization at the University of Turku.
My academic journey began in Nepal, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, and later, I delved into the world of electronics research as a Research Assistant Fellow at the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). It was during this time that I discovered my love for designing electronics devices, a passion that has been a part of my life since 2010.
One of my notable projects includes the Amarino kit, designed for the Amarino project of MIT Media Lab, marking the beginning of my contributions to the electronics community. In pursuit of my entrepreneurial dreams, I was honored to receive a Start-up grant from Potkuri, Turku, which paved the way for the establishment of my first business in Finland.
As the founder of BuildCircuit.com, I wear the hat of a designer and seller, offering a range of DIY kits, Arduino modules, audio amplifiers, and various electronics accessories. The platform has been a hub for hobbyists, engineers, and students alike, providing quality electronics solutions.
My entrepreneurial journey didn’t stop there. I also founded Scoreduino, a dedicated platform for designing digital scoreboards tailored for both outdoor and indoor use. What sets these scoreboards apart is their seamless integration with Android phones for convenient control.
In 2014, I embarked on a new chapter in my life by moving to Australia. Since then, I have been actively engaged in the electronics business, continually exploring new avenues for innovation and growth.
